Lee Grosbard is a full-time class of 2016 MBA student at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and is focused on the power and utilities sector.  Prior to Booth, Lee was an associate in the Structuring group at Constellation, the wholesale marketing and trading arm of Exelon Corporation. At Constellation, he worked on wholesale electricity supply contracts with utilities, commodity hedging strategies, power generation asset valuations, and also performed due diligence analysis in support of corporate development activities.  He began his career as an analyst on the Origination team at Constellation Energy Commodities Group. Lee will be spending his summer interning in the Natural Resources Group (Investment Banking Division) at Goldman Sachs in New York City.  Lee received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University in 2011.

Spencer Holmes is in the class of 2016 in the full-time MBA program at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, pursuing concentrations in Strategic Management, Managerial & Organizational Behavior, and Finance. Prior to attending Booth, Spencer spent five years working for Shell Oil Company in Houston and the Philippines. He has experience working across the value chain with roles in crude & products trading, oil and gas development, catalyst manufacturing, and treasury operations. Spencer will be interning this summer with McKinsey & Company in Houston. Spencer graduated from the University of Colorado with a B.S. in Business Administration.

Minyoung Lee is a full-time class of 2016 MBA student at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, pursuing concentrations in Economics, Strategic Management, and Entrepreneurship. Prior to Booth, Minyoung spent six years as a facilities engineer with Chevron Corporation’s rotational development program in Houston and the Greater New Orleans area. Her experience was focused on upstream oil and gas, where she was involved in major capital projects in LNG and GTL, new technology development, and offshore production operations. Minyoung will be interning in the Bay Area as a Senior Product Manager at Lab126, a subsidiary of Amazon.com, and will be the only person in her family that is not currently employed by the energy industry. Minyoung graduated from Cornell University with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering and a concentration in Energy Economics.

Andrew Nguyen is in the class of 2016 in the full-time MBA program at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, pursuing concentrations in Finance, Strategic Management and Entrepreneurship. Prior to Booth, Andrew worked at PPHB Energy Investment Banking, a boutique investment bank focused on middle-market M&A advisory exclusively in the energy services sector, in Houston for four years where he significantly contributed to over 20 successful transactions. During the spring, Andrew has been interning as a PE/VC Lab Associate at Nova Capital, a private equity firm specializing in acquiring multiple businesses in a single transaction with offices in Chicago, London and Toronto. This summer, Andrew will be interning is in the Corporate Development/Strategic Planning department at FMC Technologies in Houston. After graduation, he hopes to pursue either a corporate development or private equity investor role within the oil and gas industry. Andrew received his B.B.A. in Finance from The University of Texas at Austin in 2010.

Fun fact: Moving to Chicago after living in Texas for 26 years made Andrew realize that he is a BBQ snob.

Alex Roinesdal is in the class of 2016 full-time MBA program at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Prior to attending Booth, Alex spent six years as a strategy consultant at Oliver Wyman in Houston. While at Oliver Wyman, Alex worked with clients from across the oil and gas value chain on a diverse set of projects, including growth strategies, organizational transformations and mergers and acquisitions. Alex is Norwegian and also has significant work experience from Brazil, Mexico and Canada. This summer, he will be interning at FMC Technologies in Houston. Alex holds a B.A. in Economics and Political Science from Rice University.

Robert Vincze is a full time MBA student at Chicago Booth, pursuing concentrations in Finance, Economics and Strategic Management. Prior to Booth, Robert worked as a senior consultant at Booz & Company (Strategy&) for 3+ years in Houston, TX. His projects focused on several industries including oil & gas, mining, utilities, infrastructure, chemicals, and renewables. Robert’s functional focus was on large-scale transformation projects and turnaround initiatives. Robert is Hungarian, was born and raised in Romania and studied in Germany, Spain and the United States. He graduated with honors from Georgetown University. Robert will spend the summer working at Akoya Capital Partners, a private equity firm based in Chicago, IL.

Jake Zahniser-Word is in the class of 2016 in the full-time MBA program at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and is focused on the power and utilities sector. Prior to Booth, Jake worked in economic consulting at Charles River Associates and The Brattle Group, specializing in electricity and energy policy. As a consultant, Jake worked with electric utilities, industrial companies, and private equity clients to address issues including asset valuation, regulatory policy, and market forecasts. Jake will intern this summer with Duke Energy in Charlotte, NC and will work across the corporate strategy and corporate finance departments in their MBA rotational program. Jake has a B.S. in Economics, with honors, from Duke University.
